Mike Johnston has just launched a special feature on his website called “Groove Scribe”.
It allows you to place hi-hats, bass drums or snare drums on a grid, and it will produce proper drum notation which you can send to friends via email, download as a midi file, or print. You can also playback the pattern you have produced, and change the tempo and amount of swing.
You can also add hi-hats, crashes, open hi-hats, ghost notes, accents and even flams to your patterns.
For notating short passages of drum music, this is a great tool, and requires no prior knowledge of drum or music notation. An easy way to create and share your drum grooves.
